MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers officially introduced Pat Murphy as their new manager in Nov. 2023 at American Family Field.

Months later, our Dennis Krause recently sat down with Murphy for a one-on-one interview.

"I try not to look too far ahead. I'm pleased that we're competing every night. We're in every game," Murphy said of the season so far. "We've got an uphill battle; we know that. We've had a lot of turnover. We had 12 players make their first-time major league opening day roster. That's 50% of your roster. It's one of those things where we've got an uphill battle. We know it. We accept it. They've come to play every day. They're excited."

Murphy said despite all of the changes his team has had to face this season, he's proud of the Brewers and is a dedicated "servant" to his team.

"You take a step back and you realize, 'What's the coaching profession all about?' 'What's it really all about?' And it's about impacting people and opening holes so people run through 'em and can maybe get to their best self. That's our job," Murphy said.
