WISCONSIN — The state wants to hear from Wisconsinites when it comes to shaping priorities for Wisconsin’s schools and libraries. 

The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) will continue to hold strategic community engagement sessions across the state over the next month to help the department create a five-year strategic plan for schools and libraries.

State superintendent Jill Underly said she believes those impacted by a policy should have a role in crafting it.

“We all want great community resources and public services like our schools and our libraries throughout the state. A big portion of the strategic planning process is going out and listening to people in the community and that includes everybody really,” Underly said.
