APPLETON, Wis.— Make-A-Wish Wisconsin received a $300K check from Bergstrom Automotive in Appleton on Friday.

Employees and Make-A-Wish families gathered to celebrate and share stories.

Some recently granted wishes range from the building of a family tree house to a New York City trip for ‘the ultimate ghostbusters experience.’

“Giving them that special medicine of 'wow, I get to dream my biggest dream.' I get to have my greatest wish granted. That gives them transformative joy," said Kris Teofilo from Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

Nine-year-old Lincoln Wier suffers from a rare genetic disease, but he’s getting ready for his big wish — a trip to Hawaii in July with his family.

“Every time we ask him, what do you want to do this weekend, he says I want to go see a volcano, I want to go to Hawaii. So, we knew it wasn’t going to be a weekend trip," said Lincoln's father Brandon Wier.

Bergstrom has helped raise more than $3 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation over their 23-year partnership.
