Former President Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree related to alleged hush money payments made to two women during his 2016 presidential campaign.

The extraordinary event marks the first time in U.S. history a current or former president has ever been charged with a crime.
