FRANKLIN, Wis. — It’s been two years since Franklin resident Sandra Eckert went missing.
The then 70-year-old was last seen at her home the night of March 26, 2021. Franklin police said they are investigating this case as a homicide and have identified two people of interest. However, no charges have been filed.
Sandra Eckert’s daughter, Kelsey Eckert, said she vividly remembers the day she reported her mom missing at the police department.
“I drove to Franklin police — that is the first thing I did to report it as a missing person case. And I know it normally takes several hours before they can report it, but I stood there and said, ‘I am not leaving until this is filed. It is out of character for any 70-year-old woman to do this, especially my mom. My mom would never walk away from the kids; she would never walk away from the grandkids,”’ said Kelsey Eckert.
Kelsey Eckert said the last couple of years without her mom have been tough. She said not having answers as to where she is or what happened has made it even tougher.
However, Kelsey Eckert said she does not want people to lose hope in her mom’s case.
“Don’t let this go as a cold case; we are really close on a lot of things and we need to just tie up some loose ends to make sure we can bring this to trial and bring answers for my mom,” said Kelsey Eckert.
Sandra Eckert’s case picked up national attention and will be featured next month on a well-known show.
“We filmed a show for my called, “Never Seen Again,” that will be on Paramount+, which will bring awareness to her case,’ said Kelsey Eckert.
Franklin police said anyone with information should call the department’s non-emergency number: 414-425-2522.
The family is offering a $50,000 reward if a tip leads to a conviction.
