WISCONSIN — A powerful, two-part winter storm continued to drive across the state Thursday.
The system has the likelihood to be rather disruptive because of heavy snow, ice and wind. Weather started late Tuesday and gradually ended Thursday night.
Tuesday night, Wisconsin primarily saw snow. As the system progressed throughout Wednesday, the Badger State saw heavy snow and ice, creating some dangerous wintry conditions.
Those with travel plans through Friday may need to make some adjustments. Monitor road conditions and weather reports closely.
Many school systems have announced closures.
More than 40,000 were without power in southeast Wisconsin Thursday morning, according to We Energies. An additional amount of Alliant Energy customers were also without power.
