OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Oshkosh Area School District announced there would be no buses going to and from school for students on Thursday because of the theft of catalytic converters.

It’s an issue that’s affecting Kobussen’s entire Oshkosh terminal.

Families were informed of the situation early in the morning, when the school district urged them to make other plans for getting their children to and from school.

It isn’t the first time the bus company has experienced thefts. On Wednesday, thefts also caused a delay in busing for OASD.

However, with additional thefts overnight, OASD was forced to cancel service for Thursday too.

A few buses brought from other terminals will still run for any OASD co-curricular activities and field trips.

OASD said busing to and from school will resume as normal on Friday, Sept. 30. That's only possible because Kobussen is shifting its buses that serve other school districts, which aren't in session on Friday. Busing is expected to continue as normal next week while Kobussen repairs the buses used for OASD.
