GREEN BAY, Wis. — Jacob Yang is right where he wants to be: in the middle of a manufacturing operation.

What You Need To Know

  • Business at Nature’s Way in Green Bay has been on an upswing the past two years

  • The company is seeking about 30 employees for manufacturing, distribution and warehouse operations

  • Nature’s Way is hosting hiring events on Nov. 1 and Dec. 1 at 3466 E. Mason St. from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The Green Bay native studied manufacturing at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and for more than a year, he’s been immersed in it at Nature’s Way.

“You see these things in textbooks and videos, but when you actually come to see it, how the machines roll, operate and how it moves, it’s really interesting to me,” Yang said. “Seeing what makes it tick and how things are produced really intrigues me here.”

He’s a Tech 3, helping make sure the production of health supplements runs smoothly.

“Everyday is a new challenge so it’s always interesting, you’re always learning,” Yang said. “I like to learn a lot, so I’ll always ask questions.”

The business has seen strong sales the past two years, tied in part to the pandemic, and the focus on health by a wider segment of the population.

That growth has Nature’s Way seeking about 30 more people, said Amy Martin, the company’s senior manager of talent.

“We continue to add shifts, we continue to add lines in our manufacturing area,” she said. “To do that, and to continue to keep up with the demand of that we’re seeing for our products means that we need more employees to work in our company.”

Jobs range from machine operators to warehouse and distribution positions.

Martin said part of the appeal of working at Nature’s Way is making a difference in the lives and health of others.

It’s a company that she said is also working to stay ahead of consumer desires.

“Our gummy vitamins we make right here in Green Bay are really the wave of the future,” Martin said. “This is what consumers want. They want to experience their vitamins rather than just just gulp down a pill or capsule.”

She expects the company’s growth to continue.

So does Yang, who points to his team as one of the reasons he enjoys his job.

“That’s what pushes me, motivates me and motivates my team, that we work together and support each other,” Yang said.
