MILWAUKEE— A historic championship win 50 years in the making for the Milwaukee Bucks led to a city full of celebrations.

Sports fan or not, this is a big win for Milwaukee. Fans said they never doubted this day would come.

The Bucks were backed by upward of 65,000 fans inside and outside the Fiserv forum.

“We deserved it,” said one fan celeb celebrating on the streets Tuesday night. “Giannis is a Greek god.” 

There was no shortage of smiles after the win. 

“The energy in this city is intense, and it’s a great time” said another fan. 

This win is about more than just sports for some fans. 

“We knew we’d make it this far,” said a fan. “The city deserves it, the state deserves it.” 

Milwaukee can walk away proud, knowing the city is now home to a championship team again.
