MILWAUKEE — It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, everyone seems to want to be in the Deer District for the Milwaukee Bucks’ playoff run.

What You Need To Know

  • The Milwaukee Bucks took a 2-1 series lead over the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals
  • Game 4 is Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Watch parties will continue in the Deer District for both home and away games

“We came to the Deer DIstrict for the kids to enjoy before a lot of people get here,” said Estella Vasquez of Milwaukee. "That’s why we came here early, so we’re cheering for the Bucks, so Go Bucks!”

Vasquez took her family, kids and all, to be a part of the raucous atmosphere outside of Fiserv Forum for Game Three of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals.

They went to the Deer District even thought they had no plans to stay to watch the full game.

“I like that everybody comes and feels the passion for the Bucks, so even though we’re not staying for the whole game, we’re going to continue coming in,” Vasquez.

They’re not alone.

There have been several thousand fans every game watching the Bucks on one of two big screens in the Deer District, whether the team is home or not.

“That doesn’t matter,” Vasquez said. "As long as we cheer for the Bucks, it’s a team from Milwaukee and Milwaukee is a really nice city so Go Bucks again!”

“You’ve got to love it. It’s Milwaukee! It’s our team,” added Zach Jachowicz. "You’ve got to support them!”

But, why do fans want to cram in close together in the heat and humidity to watch the game?

For many, it’s a sense of unity.

“Meeting new friends, you know? My whole family’s here,” said Will Pucci of Racine. "I’d rather have a cold one here than have a cold one on my couch, you know?”

After Sunday night’s Game Three win, Bucks fans are hopeful they can keep having cold ones together in the Deer District for more games.
