MILWAUKEE — Your COVID-19 vaccination card could help get you some free stuff throughout Milwaukee. One of those free things can be to Black Husky Brewing in the Riverwest neighborhood.

“This is Wisconsin, we have been motivating people with free beer for generations and generations,” Black Husky Brewing Co-Owner, Tim Eichinger said.

All you need to do is pull up a stool and slap down your card to get a free beer at Black Husky Brewing in Milwaukee. After a long battle with COVID-19, this business is finally seeing customers come back through its doors thanks to people getting their vaccinations.

“We are at the point where we have to bring in extra people because we have so many people coming in here but we are still very particular to following our cover safety plan,” Eichinger said.

Tim Eichinger is the co-owner of Black Husky Brewing and had the idea to give away a free beer to anyone who comes in with their COVID- 19 vaccination card. It’s been popular, to say the least, and they have had to hire more people to keep up with an increase in customers coming back into their brewery.

“We have been doing this for about a week now and have given away about 200 beers and for a small place like us, that's a lot,” Eichinger says.

Black Husky Brewing isn’t the only place with some perks. Nationwide, Krispy Kreme is giving away a free donut to those who are vaccinated. In Milwaukee, according to Up Down's facebook post you can get 20 free tokens with a vaccine card.

It’s a growing trend among places looking to get back to normal after a year we will never forget.
