WISCONSIN— Wisconsin reported yet another record-breaking coronavirus update on Saturday, Sept. 26. 

Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 2,817 new coronavirus cases on Saturday. That is the highest number of newly recorded cases by a few hundred. The state's cumulative positive case numbers now sits at 113,645.

That number is accompanied by a daily positivity rate of 22.4 percent, and a rolling seven-day average positivity rate of 17.2 percent.

In contrast to the climbing spike, the state's survival rate is improving. Wisconsin DHS reports a survival rate of 98.9 percent. 

About 83 percent of Wisconsinites who have contracted the virus have already recovered. Wisconsin DHS estimates there are 18,252 active cases in the state.
