WISCONSIN (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- President Donald Trump arrived in Green Bay on Air Force One at around 1 p.m. today.

Today, he will speak at a town hall at the Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport. He will talk about the upcoming election and police reform. It is set to take place at 1:30 p.m. and will last an hour. It is not open to the public. About 50 pre-registered attendees were allowed inside.

Protestors are gathering outside the airport.

Even young children are making their voices heard.

President Trump will then visit Marinette to tour Fincantieri Marinette Maine. During his tour, he speaks with a select number of employees. He plans to address the crowds gathered outside after the completion of the tour.

All employees are required to wear masks during his visit. On his tour, the president can be seen not wearing one himself.

President Trump will talk about a recent Marinette Marine contract when he speaks to the larger group.

"I know you went through a little bit of a hard time. Not anymore..." the presidents says to the crowd.

They will build up to 10 U.S. Navy ships, which has the potential to bring jobs to Wisconsin and $5.5 billion.

President Trump says the Navy is going to be vastly improved because of the work done in this shipyard.

"This past April, Marinette's fortunes turned around... We've totally rebuilt the military... There is no budget when it comes to our military. We don't want the wrong people running up the lawn at the White House," President Trump says.

He says one of the greatest parts about the ships built here are where they're built: Right here in the U.S.

"These are the greatest of their kind anywhere in the world, the fastest, the most powerful."

He says the contract will support the 1,500 full-time employees at the shipyard, and will allow them to hire 1,000 more. Multiple thousand more jobs will be created in the Wisconsin supply chain.

"American workers like you are a national treasure. You are a victory at sea," Trump says to the crowd of employees.

The president says that while the country has always had the right people in the military, they were tired and not given the right tools. "There has never been anything so advanced as what you're building. The ship is 30-times more powerful than the previous generation."

The president says he believes he has vastly improved the state of the U.S. military.

He says the ship will send a message that "America is second to none."

"We salute the nobility and the dignity of the American worker," President Trump says as he applauds the "tradition of excellence" from both these workers and the state. He notes during his speech that many people who work here come from a long generational line of people who have been employed here. He says that the shipyard will continue to thrive, helping the nation prosper.

Before giving his closing remarks, President Trump says the Democrats in the U.S. are harder to deal with than any other foreign country.

President Trump briefly touched on the pandemic, saying that the U.S. has one of the best testing systems in the world. The U.S. is helping other countries with supplies.
