ROCK COUNTY, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- Businesses around Rock County will be able to welcome more customers this week, after the Rock County Public Health Department announced Wednesday that enough benchmarks have been met in order to move to Phase Two of the Rock County reopening plan.

Some safety measures from Phase One will continue, including restrictions at all long term health care facilities and senior centers. No outside visitors will be allowed and only essential workers and vendors will be allowed on site. Additionally, private gathering indoors and gathering at playgrounds will be limited to 25 people or less while maintaining social distancing.

Under phase two, outdoor weddings and funerals will be allowed as long as everyone follows physically distancing guidelines. Offices, stores, indoor malls, gyms, restaurants and bars can open at 50% capacity, as long as safety measures outlined by the wedc are taken. Licensed swimming pools and splash pads may open to 50% capacity, and yard sales with no restrictions on head count are allowed, as long as participants practice social distancing. The full plan is posted on the Rock County Public Health Department's website. The health department continues to stress the importance of regular handwashing, covering coughs & sneezes, physical distancing at least 6 feet away from people not within your household and following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's guidelines on mask wearing in public.

As of Wednesday, June 10th, more than 700 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Rock County and at least 21 people have died.
