MILWAUKEE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- When it comes to the best Super Bowl commercial of 2020, beauty is often in the eye of the subjective beholder (and that eye likely had a tear in it during the Google ad "Loretta," am I right?!).

However, USA Today is out with its annual Ad Meter rankings, which gives a more objective look at the best ads from Sunday, as people in several focus groups submitted a score on a zero-to-ten scale.

The winner?

Jeep, with Bill Murray reprising his role as television meteorologist Phil Connorrs from the 1993 film Groundhog Day, ready this time around to take the new Jeep Gladiator out for a spin. Jeep's "Groundhog Day" ad scored a 7.01.

In second? Hyundai's "Smaht Pahk" with a score of 6.98.

Google's "Loretta" came in third at 6.77, Doritos "The Cool Ranch" landed in fourth with a score of 6.62 and Rocket Mortgage's "Comfortable" spot featuring Jason Momoa landed in fifth at 6.60.

Ahead of the Super Bowl, Brian Bennett from Milwauiee-based STIR Advertising & Integrated Messaging sat down with Spectrum News 1's Jason Fechner to preview the ads this time around-- check out their conversation in the video above.
