MILWAUKEE (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- While many Wisconsinites braved the cold outside on Veterans Day, inside the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, Marine Corps Veteran Noah Currier delivered a heartfelt gift to his brothers and sisters.

Currier served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Three days after returning home from a deployment in Iraq, Currier was in a car accident that left him a quadriplegic.

Life as he knew it would never be the same, but thanks to one friend and the VA’s adaptive sports winter program, he found his reason for living. He now fills the void by giving back through "Oscar Mike."

"We wanted to help out our brothers and sisters stay active because there weren’t any organizations at the time focused on that and Oscar Mike was radio jargon for, on-the-move-- so we just started it. We started it from a 2-car garage and today is our 8- year anniversary," Currier said.

Along with offering American-made military-inspired apparel, people can donate to giving injured veterans an opportunity to be active and live a better life here
