Wisconsin's 90th District State Representative Kristina Shelton was inspired to run for office after working as a community organizer for many years. As an educator and a mom to a sixth grader and a ninth grader - both public school students in Green Bay - she's especially passionate about advocating for public education.
Her favorite parts of her job are learning something new every day, meeting new people, and helping address issues including housing, jobs, and healthcare. One thing Shelton says her district does better than anywhere else is show up for each other - she loves that Green Bay is an inclusive community where everyone is welcome.
In three words, Shelton would describe her district as "connected, diverse, and resilient." She would take an out-of-town visitor to Bay Beach Amusement Park.
