Melissa Agard, State Senator from Wisconsin's 16th District, takes inspiration from her sons when deciding how to legislate and advocate for her constituents. 

In her Know Your Electeds interview, Agard shared that her legislative priorities for the upcoming year include improving access to healthcare, funding schools, and implementing non-partisan redistricting. She would like to be remembered as a person who worked earnestly, did their best, and made a positive impact on the world. 

When Agard was 10, she wanted to be a veterinarian. If she wasn't working in public service, she believes she would be working in another human service-related field.
