Wisconsin 77th District State Representative Sheila Stubbs' typical day starts with morning prayers, watching the news, getting her daughter ready for school, and driving around the district.

Stubbs was the first African American voted to the Wisconsin State Legislature from Dane County. In her Know Your Electeds interview, she shared that she considers blazing that trail to be her greatest accomplishment in office.

Stubbs deeply values her district's diversity, saying "You want diversity? Come to 77. We'll give it to you." The best advice she has ever received is "pick your battles, fight them, and win them."
