PEWAUKEE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- In areas of the state no longer under stay-at-home orders, restaurants are once again seating customers in their dining rooms.

In Waukesha County, the 5 O’clock Club hosted its first in-person Friday fish fry in two months.

The fourth-generation family restaurant reopened its dining rooms Thursday, serving only six tables in each area. Executive chef Jason Knutson said he expects to remain busy with takeout orders for people who are hesitant about going out to eat.

“It’s going to take time,” Knutson said. “It’s going to take time for people to be comfortable and see that we’re taking the appropriate steps, proper sanitation and social distancing.”

During a slow and spread out lunch hour, the 5 O’clock Club started to feel more like a family restaurant again, but it will likely be a long time before things feel back to normal.
