Hawaii has reported 229 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the statewide total to 236,009, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.

Four new deaths also were reported, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,334.

The bulk of the cases was reported on Oahu, with 133. Hawaii Island is next with 33, followed by Maui with 27, Kauai with 24 and Lanai with three. Molokai had no new cases.

There were nine cases from out-of-state visitors.

The statewide vaccination rate stands at 76.4%, with 1,085,961 residents fully vaccinated. Honolulu County reported the highest vaccination rate among its residents at 80%. Kauai County follows with 71% fully vaccinated, Maui County stands at 69% and Hawaii County at 67%. 

The DOH reports that 535,342 boosters have been administered.
