Hawaii has reported four new deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the Hawaii Department of Health, bringing the statewide total to 1,002.

The state also saw an additional 218 reported cases, bringing Hawaii’s case count total to 86,740.

There were 122 reported cases on Oahu, along with 50 cases on the Hawaii Island, 19 on Kauai, 20 on Maui and one case on Molokai.

Six of the cases came from out-of-state visitors.

The statewide vaccination rate stands at 72.3% residents fully vaccinated. Honolulu County reports the highest vaccination rate among its residents at 75%. Hawaii and Kauai Counties both have a vaccination rate of 68% and Maui County is at 65%. The DOH reports that 144,639 boosters have been administered.

According to DOH statistics, there are an estimated 393,623 individuals who are not vaccinated.
