Flood Watches remain in effect from the Ohio River Valley south into the Mississippi Valley where rounds of heavy rain and flash flooding will continue into the weekend.

Winter alerts are in effect for part of the northern Plains and New Mexico.

Temperatures will stay very warm across the Southeast with records likely to be set again Friday.

Behind the front, cooler weather is expected in the Plains and West.

 

Low Temperatures Tonight

Very mild temperatures overnight across the eastern half of the U.S. with lows 10-25 degrees above average.

 

Precipitation Outlook

An active pattern will continue with rounds of strong to severe storms likely across the Ohio River Valley and farther south into the Mississippi Valley.

On the cooler side of the system, heavy snow is expected in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico along with moderate snow in the northern Plains.
