A stunning weekend is ahead weather-wise across the Sunshine State, as high pressure begins to build back into the area following the passage of a dry cold front on Thursday night.
This high directed a north wind down the spine of the state this morning, leading to temperatures that ranged from the 30s to 40s across most locations. But despite that morning wind direction, we're set to warm up as high pressure moves overhead, leading to a shifting wind off the east coast, and bringing back some warmer air this afternoon.
Highs today will top out in the mid 70s inland, with a few lower 70s along the coastline. As we head into this evening, high pressure will begin to shift off the eastern coast of Florida, allowing our winds to shift even further out of the southeast. This will keep us more mild tonight with lows in the 50s while also bringing back a bit of moisture in the way of a few passing clouds.
Our Sunday will feature partly cloudy skies and highs that warm up even further into the lower and mid 80s. This dry and warm weather pattern appears to remain in place even heading into our Monday, before our next front arrives to the area Monday night and Tuesday morning. The front appears to be mainly dry, but a few isolated showers can't be ruled out for the area.
