A heavy, wet snow is on its way into the state tonight. Conditions may only get worse in some areas, as the intensity increases through the overnight.

Expect pockets and bands of heavy snow to continue through early Wednesday morning in the Eastern part of our state.

SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OVER SIX INCHES are likely for the greater SE portion of our state. Some locales may see over 8" of snow, thanks to enhancement from the lake. My hunch is: we'll see a lot of closings and cancellations Wednesday morning.

The snow should be done and gone by Wednesday night. Then, brace yourself for the Polar Plunge coming on Friday!

Yet another chance at snow is coming on Monday, followed by even more cold air. It must be January in Wisconsin.
Stay safe tonight!
