GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers play Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon in Tampa.

Here are three things to watch in the game.

The legendary quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers has won four MVPs, including the last two. Tom Brady has won three. This will be just the third time in NFL history that the two starting quarterbacks have combined to win seven MVPs.

The others were Brady against Peyton Manning in 2014 and Rodgers against Manning in 2015. Brady has won seven Super Bowls, by far the most of any NFL quarterback.

Tampa Bay’s defense

The Buccaneers defense is on a roll. They’ve been the key to the team’s 2-0 start with road wins at Dallas and New Orleans.

Todd Bowles, who runs the defense and is now the Buccaneers’ head coach, likes to bring pressure on quarterbacks. Tampa Bay is allowing just 6.5 per game for two weeks of the season with six takeaways.

House of horrors

Raymond James Stadium in Tampa has not been a friendly venue for the Packers. They’re 2-8 there, with the last game being a 38-10 loss in 2020. Rodgers is 1-3 there as a starting quarterback.

The last time these teams met was in the 2020 NFC Championship Game at Lambeau Field. The Buccaneers won that game and would win the Super Bowl two weeks later.
