WISCONSIN— Both Wisconsin and Marquette have punched their tickets into the NCAA March Madness tournament starting this week.

Wisconsin received the 3 seed and will play No. 14 Colgate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Fiserv Forum on Friday at 8:50 p.m CST.

If UW wins, they would play the winner of No. 6 LSU and No. 11 Iowa St. Sunday.

The Badgers enter the tournament on a two-game losing streak. UW lost to Nebraska in the Big Ten regular-season finale and also to Michigan State in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

It's a rematch of 1977 as Marquette received the 9 seed and will play No. 8 UNC on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. CST in Fort Worth, Texas.

Marquette is back in the NCAA tournament for the 34th time in their program's history. It's the first appearance with first-year head coach Shaka Smart. If the Golden Eagles win, they will play the winner of Baylor and Norfolk State.

This will be the ninth NCAA tournament appearance for head coach Shaka Smart. He led the VCU Rams to the Final Four in 2011.

Gonzaga (West), Arizona (South), Kansas (Midwest) and Baylor (East) are the No. 1 seeds for the tournament.

Fiserv Forum will host first round games on Friday and Sunday.
