TAMPA, Fla. — The previously undefeated Packers got a rude wake-up call Sunday in their 38-10 loss at Tampa Bay.

After jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, the Packers got smacked down by the Bucs.

The Packers hadn't turned the ball over all season until a pivotal pick six thrown by Aaron Rodgers. That play started a chain of events that totally turned the game around.

After that, Tampa Bay controlled the game and provided the first real adversity the Packers have faced all season. The offense couldn't ring up the big numbers they became accustomed to and the defense failed to pressure Tom Brady or get turnovers.

So now the Packers head to Houston with a 4-1 record. Hopefully, they can channel this useful and painful lesson into something positive.

People like me have downplayed the Bears' start, but they're 5-1. Seattle is 5-0. Tampa Bay is 4-2 and they'll only get better. That's not all of the contenders in the NFC, but it gives you an indication that the Packers aren't alone in Super Bowl aspirations.

Sunday's loss doesn't have to be more than an irritating day. Anybody that thought the Packers would cruise to the Super Bowl was deluding themselves. There are other teams that want to get there too. The Packers will have to earn it and it won't be easy.
