MILWAUKEE — After you check your bag, you can check your coat at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport once again this winter.
Coat check is available now through April 1 for any airport passenger, regardless of what flight they are on. Although, it’s geared toward those who are headed to sunnier, warmer destinations and won’t need their parka on their adventure. Travelers can leave things such as gloves, hats and scarves at coat check as well.
“Our coat check service remains one of our most popular winter amenities here at MKE,” said airport director Brian Dranzik. “Travelers love the simplicity, ease of use, and convenience of being able to wear your coat when you need it and being able to leave it safely behind when you don’t. If you’re taking advantage of one of our warm weather destinations this winter, I encourage you to also take advantage of this great service.”
Coat check is located inside the Summerfest Marketplace store, which is located before security check points.
Travelers can wear their coats to the airport and then leave them at Summerfest Marketplace. They can pick up their coats when they return to Milwaukee. Coats are hung in protective plastic and locked away until the owner returns.
The coat check is available seven days a week. The rate is $2 per day, with a maximum charge of $10 per trip. The airport said most international travelers will need to take a shuttle from the international terminal to the main terminal to get their coats.
This is the fourth year in a row the airport has offered coat check.
