MILWUAKEE— Kids could not only get the COVID-19 vaccine Saturday, but they could also snap a photo with Bango and the Milwaukee Bucks' Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. 

The Milwaukee Health Department administered coronavirus vaccines to the public in the atrium of Fiserv Forum. The health department said the focus of the vaccine clinic is on kids between the ages of 5 to 11, but would vaccinate anyone who came to the free clinic. In addition to pediatric doses of the Pfizer vaccine, the department also had first, second and booster doses of Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson for adults. Flu shots were also on hand for anyone who needed one. 

“Vaccination is the best tool to keep ourselves and our children safe from COVID-19. We hope the opportunity to ‘take a shot’ in the home of the 2021 World Champion Milwaukee Bucks will encourage Milwaukee children and families to get vaccinated," Kristen Johnson, Milwaukee health commissioner, said. 

That was the sentiment echoed by the kids who rolled up their sleeves Saturday. All of the parents Spectrum News 1 spoke with said their kids did a great job and they were proud of them. 

Aislin, who is 5-years-old, got the shot Saturday. She said getting the shot was not scary, even though she doesn't like shots. She said she was very brave. 

Celeste, who is 8-years-old, said it definitely was not as scary as she thought it would be. 

"She was a little nervous but we made it through," her mom said. 

After getting a rainbow bandaid and a photo taken with the championship trophy and Bango, kids got lollipops to munch on while they waited to head home. 

The Fiserv Forum clinic kicked off at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. There will be a second COVID-19 vaccine clinic Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone who completes their entire vaccine series at the two clinics will be entered to win four tickets to the Bucks' Dec. 4 game against the Miami Heat. Two winners will be drawn at 2 p.m. on Dec. 4 and contacted via email.
