EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Vice President Mike Pence is returning to Wisconsin for the third time this month, with 40 days until the presidential election.

The White Houe said Pence will travel to Eau Claire, visiting Midwest Manufacturing to deliver remarks at a Made In America event. He will discuss the importance of manufacturing in the United States. Pence will arrive at the Chippewa Valley Airport at approximately 10:50 a.m. and then speak at Midwest Manufacturing at 11:50 a.m.

After visiting Eau Claire, he is scheduled to visit Minneapolis where he will participate in a Cops for Trump event.

The vice president was most likely in the battleground state earlier this week, visiting Janesville. He also went to La Crosse on Labor Day, while Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris visited Milwaukee that same day.

In a previous one-on-one interview, Pence showed optimism for the swing state to vote for Trump again.

“Wisconsin saw this President's vision, and leadership, and voted for President Donald Trump in 2016,” Pence said. “We're very confident Wisconsin is going to vote for four more years for President Donald Trump in 2020 because this is a president who literally has done everything he told the people of Wisconsin that we were going to do."

Meanwhile, Democratic nominee Joe Biden made his second trip to the Badger State earlier this week, since accepting the nomination in August.
