WISCONSIN, (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- COVID-19 positivity rates are taking a turn for the worse in Wisconsin. As of Friday, June 26, the state's daily positivity rate sits at 5.7 percent. This is the highest positivity Wisconsinites are seeing since May 27. 

This comes after seven weeks of a decreasing positivity rate. 

On Monday, the positivity rate was 3.8 percent; it then decreased to 2.2 percent on Tuesday. 

On Wednesday, the positivity rate was 4.3 percent and moved slightly in the right direction to 4.1 percent, before skyrocketing by 1.6 percent today. This data was released by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. 

The state's weekly positivity rate is over four percent. It is expected to increase over the next two weeks. 

More than 1,600 cases have been reported in Wisconsin since Monday.
