A number of safety protocols have been put in place, which may make your Goodwill experience a little different from what you remember.

Shopper Safety Details:

  • Because the Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down the statewide stay-at-home order, municipalities have issued their own stay-at-home orders with varying restrictions on businesses. Each Goodwill Store & Donation Center will follow its municipality’s orders, which means there will be differences in the number of customers allowed in stores.
  • Both employees and customers will be required to wear masks inside the store.
  • Social distancing signs have been placed on the floor throughout the store to show the recommended six-feet distance required.
  • Every other cash register and fitting room will be used.
  • Plexiglass sneeze guards have been placed at cash registers.
  • Clothes that are tried on will be taken off the floor and sanitized before becoming available for customers again.

Donation Safety Details:

  • There will be contact-less donations.
  • All donations should be made in bags or boxes – please do not donate loose items.
  • All donations will be stored for at least 72 hours before they are handled by employees and or made available for sale.

Employee Safety Details:

  • All retail employees will be screed daily and have their temperature taken by a manager when they report to work.
  • Goodwill is providing employees with face masks and gloves to wear while at work.
  • Employees will be required to wear face masks.
  • Plexiglass sneeze guards have been placed at cash registers.
  • Employee breakrooms will enforce social distancing.
