WISCONSIN — Today marks 23 years since the terror attacks on the World Trade Center.

Eleven people with ties to Wisconsin were killed on Sept. 11, 2001.

Those people were: 

Ann N. Nelson

Nelson was born in Ashland. She lived in New York City and worked at the World Trade Center.

Michell Lee Jean Robotham

Jean Robotham was born in Chippewa Falls and lived in New Jersey. She also worked at the World Trade Center.

Patricia J. Statz

Statz was also born in Chippewa Falls but lived in Maryland. She worked at The Pentagon as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army.

John Patrick Hart

Hart hailed from Eau Claire and lived in California. He was visiting the World Trade Center for work.

John J. Chada

Chada was born in Milwaukee. A Vietnam veteran, he worked at The Pentagon as a civilian employee for the U.S. Army.

Andrea Lyn Haberman

Haberman was also born in Milwaukee but lived in Chicago. She was at the World Trade Center on business.

Gregory Kamal Bruno Wachtler

Bruno Wachtler was a Milwaukee native who lived in New York. He worked at the World Trade Center.

Dean E. Mattson

Mattson was from Luck, Wisconsin, and lived in Virginia. He worked at The Pentagon for the U.S. Army.

Kirsten Lail Christophe

Christophe was born in Racine. She lived in New Jersey and worked at the World Trade Center.

Dennis M. Johnson

A Wisconsin Rapids native, Johnson worked for the U.S. Army at The Pentagon.

Ramzi A. Doany

Doany was born in Amman, Jordan, but was a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee alumni and worked at the World Trade Center.
