DOOR COUNTY, Wis. – A Door County business is helping people Fear the Deer.

Door Peninsula Winery is a partner of the Finals bound Milwaukee Bucks. They sell their products to Bucks fans at Fiserv Forum.

Now fans are traveling to Sturgeon Bay to buy a Bucks-themed wine at their winery in Door County.

“Fear the Deer is a riesling. That is a white, German style wine,” said winery marketing and events director Beth Levendusky. “It is sweet semi-sweet, pretty citrusy, some flavor of melon. It’s just an all around really good wine.”

She said during the playoffs, the wine has cracked the top five of the winery’s best sellers.

“Honestly seeing the fans roll in and looking for the wine has been an extra little cherry on top,” Levendusky said.

“You gotta have a bottle of this,” said Bucks fan and Wautatosa native Corinne Meyer. “A bottle is a collector's item right now.”

Meyer plans to drink the wine during game one.

The winery said Fear the Deer Riesling is sold at store that sell wine throughout the state. They say there’s plenty around Milwaukee for sure.

Levendusky said you can always visit their location in Door County.

“Just the excitement from our customers, even our staff, has just been palpable,” she said. “Everyone is so excited that they’ve made it into the Finals and we couldn’t be happier.”
