GREEN LAKE, Wis. — If you’re looking to get outside this weekend and take in the scenic views of Wisconsin, then Green Lake County is where you'll want to be.
The annual Green Lake 100 Bike Ride is back this spring. Last year, the event was canceled due to the ongoing pandemic which did not allow for large social gatherings.
Riders of all ages are encouraged to get on their bike and join the route.
Green Lake Chamber of Commerce organized the all-day Saturday event.
"We’re super excited to have people back in Green Lake and enjoying a sport that’s outdoors," said Lisa Meier with Visit Green Lake. "We are still following the CDC guidelines, so we have people serving the refreshments with gloves. We’re still going to be very safe with our event this year, keeping that in mind."
Riders will be able to register for four different distances ranging from 20 miles all the way up to 100 miles across Green Lake County.
"It’ll take you two hours. It can take you four hours depending on what you want to do," said Meier "So, [we] definitely encourage everyone to step out for it, it’s for the experienced to the beginner."
Registration will be open up until the day of the event. You can pre-register here or register on Saturday June 5th, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to the start of the bike ride.
