WISCONSIN— The Wisconsin Department of Health Services launched a new data page on Tuesday, Dec. 29. This visualization tool focuses on a completely different set of numbers: It's all about coronavirus vaccine data.

“We are committed to providing the public with timely COVID-19 vaccine information,” says DHS Secretary-designee Andrea Palm. “Even though we’re in the early stages of the Wisconsin COVID-19 Vaccine Program, it is important for Wisconsinites to know where we stand and highlight the unprecedented work being done by COVID-19 vaccinators across the state.”

The page showcases metrics for allocation and shipment of the vaccine. Plus, there will be a graph showing how many coronavirus vaccines are administered each day.

Wisconsin DHS says it plans to share increasing amounts of coronavirus vaccine data as the vaccines become more widely available.

For the time being, demographic and geographic vaccine data will not be made public.

Wisconsin DHS says it plans to update these numbers on a weekly basis, every Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

As of Monday, Dec. 28, Wisconsin DHS says it has administered 40,850 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and 6,306 doses of the Moderna vaccine. 47,157 doses have been given to Wisconsinites thus far.

Wisconsin first started vaccinated those in its 1A group on Dec. 14, after the state received its first shipment of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine. Moderna vaccine distribution started on Dec. 22.

The 1A group consists of frontline healthcare workers and those living and working in long-term care facilities.
