WISCONSIN— Wisconsin set a new coronavirus record, reporting 2,034 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, Sept. 17, and then immediately topped it.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 2,533 new coronavirus cases on Friday, Sept. 18 with a daily positivity rate of 19.4 percent. Thursday's positivity rate was 17.8 percent.

Saturday, Sept. 19, Wisconsin stayed on trend, reporting another 2,283 coronavirus cases, with a daily positivity rate of 18.3 percent.

Wisconsin has now seen a total of 99,562 positive cases. The rolling seven-day average positivity rate sits at 16.4 percent, as of Saturday.

As of Saturday, 20 to 29 year olds were responsible for the majority of cases. 25,744 20-somethings have tested positive for conronavius in Wisconsin. That's more than 25 percent of the state's cases. 

 

Wisconsin has a recovery rate of 85 percent; 84,632 Wisconsinites who have contracted the virus have recovered. Right now, Wisconsin DHS estimates there are 13,671 active COVID-19 cases. 

Wisconsin has seen 1,241 deaths, accounting for 1.2 percent of cases. Three of those deaths were reported Thursday, and another seven on Friday. And on Saturday, Wisconsin lost an additional three people.
