MILWAUKEE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- For anyone seeking more signs of hope in Wisconsin's ongoing effort to turn the corner in the fight against the coronavirus, this could be it-- this week's case positivity rate has now fallen to its lowest point since before cases started to spike back in March.

Based on the new data out Tuesday from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the state's case positivity rate (the number of all positive COVID-19 tests out of all tests administered) is now down to 5.85% since Sunday (672 positive cases out of 11,485 reportedly administered).

The previous low came during the week of March 22 when the state's rate was 6.22%.

The state's high-- Sunday through Saturday-- hit during the week of March 29 when the rate hit 11.52%

Tuesday's rate alone was 3.9%.
