MILWAUKEE, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) - The next round of financial relief from Washington included in the $480 billion bill agreed to by Congress this week sets aside another $310 billion for small businesses, many of which couldn't get funds in the last relief package.

“My advice to small businesses as they wait for this second round of funding to come out is to make sure your application is completed," Marianne Markowitz, the CEO of First Women's Bank, told Spectrum News Chief National Political Reporter Josh Robin."[Make sure] that it’s potentially filed with your lender, that you’re leaning into that relationship that you have with your lender, and really, this program is boiled down to relationships, it’s never been highlighted more how important your relationship with your lender is, and frankly, this is the time to lean into it or re-evaluate that relationship."

Robin joined Spectrum News 1's Jason Fechner Wednesday to discuss the next round of financial relief and issues with the most recent round of funding in the Paycheck Protection Program.
