LOS ANGELES — Carlton Epic Roberts has made it his mission to curate programs based on social impact issues.
His days are filled with planning new ways to unite the community as head of a social enterprise called Project Pit.
"We all have to start at the bottom of our dreams, but in order to do that, we have to rise and come out of our pit together," he explained. "So that's what Project Pit symbolizes; instead of doing it alone, why don't we do it together?"
After losing three of the closest people in his life, he turned his pain into Project Pit, curating programs like 'I Love Myself' that teach students the importance of breathing and taking life day by day.
He's also the man behind the scenes of major community activations like the Winter Wonderland at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, giving away 10,000 toys to underserved kids.
