DAYTON, Ohio — Dayton International Airport announced a partnership that aims to help passengers save time with parking and pay in advance.
The airport is partnering with Metropolis, an artificial intelligence and computer vision company, to use AI to implement a drive-in, drive-out technology for comprehensive parking management.
Here's how it'll work: Upon arrival, passengers will register by scanning a QR code and manage the process through the Metropolis app. There will be no more paper slips or lost tickets, but instead, their parking information will be right on their phones.
Passengers can reserve and pay for parking in the garage, short-term, long-term, economy, overflow or cellphone lot by logging in on the fly Dayton website by clicking here. Guests can modify or cancel their parking for up to two hours before their scheduled arrival time.
“We’re so pleased to launch these new innovative services allowing our valued travelers the ability to just drive in and drive out, saving them valuable time and helping make their journey as smooth as possible,” said Gil Turner, director at Dayton International Airport. “This partnership marks a significant milestone in airport innovation and ensures that DAY remains at the forefront of both passenger-centric services and technological advancement.”
Dayton International Airport said it's been experiencing an influx of passenger boardings for the fourth consecutive year. The airport helps this implementation can help cut down some of the stress passengers face when having to fly.
“At Metropolis, our mission is to provide frictionless payment experiences to all consumers, saving them their most precious resource: time,” said Alex Israel, CEO and co-founder of Metropolis. “By combining our cutting-edge technology with DAY’s commitment to excellence, we are redefining the traveler’s journey – reducing wait times and enhancing convenience, ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience that sets the tone for their entire trip.”
