TAMPA, Fla. — Easter is on its way on Sunday, April 20, and the Tampa Bay area has a lineup of events to get residents and visitors alike into the spirit of springtime.
From photo ops with the Easter Bunny to egg hunts, here's a list of what's happening around the community.
Citrus County
- Egg-streme Flashlight Hunt and Festival
April 14, 6 p.m. | Bicentennial Park
This event will feature an Easter egg hunt in the evening, complete with games and food trucks. Hunts start at 7 p.m., with the youngest children collecting eggs before the sun sets, and the older kids hunting with flashlight after sundown. Registration is required.
Hernando County
- Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
April 12, 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. | Weeki Wachee Springs State Park
Kids can enjoy a breakfast with the Easter Bunny and participate in interactive activities like coloring, games, and more. Limited spots are available. Tickets are $20 for kids 12 and up, $10 for kids ages 3-11, and $5 for kids 2 and under.
Hillsborough County
- Westchase Community Egg Hunt
April 13, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Westchase Recreation Center
There will be vendors, pictures with the Easter Bunny, and timed egg hunts broken into age groups. Those who attend are encouraged to bring their own Easter baskets. - Easter Weekend at Busch Gardens
April 19-20 | Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
Visit the park on Easter Saturday and Sunday for a golden egg hunt and a special story time featuring Sesame Street characters.
Manatee County
- Cotton Tail Express at Florida Railroad Museum in Parrish
April 19, 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. | Florida Railroad Museum
This Easter event features a 2 1/2-hour train ride to an Easter egg hunt location. There will also be photo-ops with the Easter Bunny, hayrides, arts and crafts. Tickets start at $27.
Pasco County
- Jelly Bean Fling
April 5, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Pioneer Florida Museum
Kids can enjoy events like face painting, pony rides and games. There will also be free photo-ops with Easter Bunny, along with an Easter egg hunt.
- HoppyFest
April 12, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Wesley Chapel District Park
Kids ages 12 and under can take part in games, crafts, an egg hunt and photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Bring your own bag or basket for the egg hunt. Tickets are $2 per person, cash only at the door.
- Breakfast with the Easter Bunny in Wesley Chapel
April 13, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. | Main Event Wesley Chapel
Breakfast will include pancakes you can top yourself with whipped cream, sprinkles, Oreo cookies, fruit, and more. Bring your own camera for photo ops with the Easter Bunny. Guests will also receive a one-hour bowling voucher to be redeemed the day of event.
- Easter at Old McMicky’s Farm
April 12, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Old McMicky’s Farm
Enjoy photo ops with the Easter Bunny, an Easter cow, egg hunts, face painting, farm animals, farm tours and more. General admission tickets are $15 for all guests 2 and older, plus an extra $5 for the Easter egg hunt.
Pinellas County
- Easter at the Farm at DK Farms
April 18-20 | DK Farms & Gardens
The farm is hosting several Easter egg hunts each day for three different age groups. There will also be farm activities like a free petting zoo, bunny zone, photo ops, and meet and greets with the Easter Bunny. A pre-ordered ticket is required to participate in the Easter egg hunt, which is $15 per person.
- Winter’s Beachfront Egg Hunt
April 18, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. | Clearwater Beach
Celebrate Easter on the beach as kids can enjoy an egg hunt in the sand and photos with the Easter Bunny, plus a bagged breakfast.
- Eggstravaganza
April 19, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Countryside Recreation Center
Guests can bring their own Easter baskets to do some Easter egg hunting. There will be inflatables, games, prizes, music and photo ops with the Easter Bunny.
Polk County
- Spring Eggstravaganza
April 12, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Florida Technical College
There will be Easter basket raffles, games, and giveaways, as well as an Easter egg hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny. The campus will also be doing live radio station broadcasting of the event.
- Easter Bunny Brunch
April 18, 10 a.m. | Kelly Recreation Complex
Join the bunny for brunch and fun, including crafts, games, and photo opportunities. This event is limited to children ages 10 and under. Registration is required.
