MASON, Ohio — Part of Kings Island just got a facelift, adding a new ride designed specifically for kids and families.

  • Kings Island opened Camp Snoopy for the season  

  • The children's area has a new ride called Snoopy's Soap Box Racers 

  • Camp Snoopy also has a new restaurant and newly-designed rides 

On Friday the amusement park opened Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers. The roller coaster takes riders foreward and backward on a track with plenty of twists and turns, and it is getting rave reviews on day one.

“My daughter and I rode in the very front row, so it was really cool getting to see everything ahead of you, and then the track just stops, and then you go backwards,” said Sierra Fox, a Kings Island season passholder.

The ride is part of the newly-named and redesigned Camp Snoopy area. In addition to the coaster, it includes the new Beagle Scout Acres Playground, where kids get to run and play and even interact with some of the characters.
