What You Need To Know

  • Prizes were given out to fans

  • Everyone left the game with a Cavaliers tote bag

  • Sunday was their last regular season home game

The Cavs wrapped up their last regular season game at home versus the Charlotte Hornets falling short by ten points, losing 110-120.

Fans were packed inside Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Sunday to watch the Cavs play their last regular season game.

There were young fans like Colton McPherson.

“I’m excited for this game because this is my first time and my favorite players Garland,” McPherson said.

Others, like Nikaeda Griffie, almost never miss a game.

“I have been a season ticket holder for about six years now and it’s a toss-up whether or not you get the fan appreciation in your package so I’m excited to be at the last home game especially with two wins in a row and going into the postseason,” Griffie said.

It was their 22nd Annual Fan Appreciation Day. The Cavs thank the fans for their season-long support by giving away tons of prizes.

“It’s always a lot of fun. They do cool things. We got little treats and gifts, so it’s always nice to see what kind of stuff they’re going to pull out for the fans,” Griffie said.

No fan went home empty-handed. Many even spun a wheel in a contest for the chance to win prizes, including gift cards, tickets, high end electronic, kitchen appliances and more.

“I won Cavs tickets which is awesome on fan appreciation day, which is awesome it’s really cool,” said Scott McKechnie.

All of this to celebrate the Cavaliers and their dedicated fan-base.
