DAYTON, Ohio — The FBI is seeking help from the public to hunt down the person who shot and killed a police officer almost 25 years ago, and the agency is offering a reward to help.
The FBI is offering up to $15,000 to anyone who can help them find the person who murdered officer Kevin Brame. Brame was killed outside his home on the evening of Nov. 1, 1999.
The Dayton Police Department has spent years trying to identify who was responsible, but they have had no leads. That is why the department partnered with the FBI last year. They are hoping the additional resources will give them a better chance of solving the crime.
“This is a priority for us, and we stand united in working to solve this case and provide justice to Officer Brame’s family,” said Adam Lawson, the FBI assistant special agent in charge.
“I so appreciate your vigilance and your dedication to try to find the murderer of my child,” said Rosemary Brame, Kevin Brame’s mother. “And I am very grateful that today we have the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
The reward is in addition to the up to $2,000 that was offered before. FBI is asking that people contact them if they have any information regarding the case.
