Voters across southwest Ohio are headed to the polls Tuesday, May 3, to vote in the Primary Election.

Voters will decide who will represent them in races locally and statewide in November.

Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Here's a look at the major races: 

Governor: Republicans will select Mike DeWine, Ron Hood, Jim Renacci or Joe Blystone. Democrats will select Nan Whaley or John Cranley. 

Secretary of State: Republicans will choose incumbent Frank LaRose or John Adams. Democrats Chelsea Clark is unopposed in the primary.

Attorney General: Both candidates have uncontested primaries.

Auditor of State: Both candidates have uncontested primaries.

Treasure of State: Both candidates have uncontested primaries.

U.S. Senate: Republican will vote for Mark Pukita, Jane Timken, JD Vance, Matt Dolan, Mike Gibbons, Josh Mandel or Neil Patel. Democrats will select Morgan Harper, Traci TJ Johnson or Tim Ryan.

Congressional Primaries: Montgomery County voters will select representatives in one race.

In District 10, Democrats will choose Kirk Benjamin, David Esrati, Jeff Hardenbrook or Baxter Stapleton. Republican Mike Turner, the incumbent, is unopposed in the primary.

State Board of Education: District 3 representing Montgomery County is an uncontested race.

Montgomery County Commissioner: Republicans Rennes Bowers and Jordan Wortham will face off in the primary. Democrat Carolyn Rice, the incumbent, is unopposed.

Montgomery County Auditor: Both parties have uncontested primaries.

Judicial primaries: Three Ohio Supreme Court Justice judicial races are uncontested primaries. There are three Court of Common Please races but only one will have a primary. In that race, Republicans will choose Bob Hanseman, Michele S.H. Henne or Kim Melnick. Democrats will choose Jacqueline V. Gaines, Angelina Jackson or Tony Schoen.

Central Committee: Central Committee races are taking place in both parties in areas across Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Issues: There are features 14 separate issues that affect specific parts of the county. They range from the renewal of school district levy in Centerville to levy for streets, roads and bridges in Jackson Township.
