Ramel Carpenter is a meteorologist for the Spectrum News National Weather Team.

Ramel graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2018 with a degree in Meteorology and landed his first job in Youngstown, OH as the weekend evening meteorologist. From there, he came back to his home state of North Carolina to work in Wilmington as a morning meteorologist.

During his career, he’s covered lake-effect snowfall, tornadoes, and numerous hurricanes while living along the North Carolina coast.

Outside of work, Ramel enjoys watching sports, playing soccer and basketball, running and spending time with his friends and family. He is also a massive Star Wars fan.
