For the 69th year in a row, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) will be tracking Santa Claus as he flies around the world delivering presents on Christmas Eve, and the public can follow along.
While NORAD is responsible for monitoring and defending North American airspace every day and hour, it takes on an addiitonal role on Christmas Eve: Tracking Santa, which it has been doing since 1955. Each year, at least 100,000 kids call into the North American Aerospace Defense Command to inquire about Santa’s location. Millions more follow online in nine languages, from English to Japanese.
