BEREA, Ohio — After his stellar performance in the Browns Week 8 win vs. the Ravens, quarterback Jameis Winston has earned NFL AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Winston led the Browns to a 29-24 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. He completed 27 of 41 passes for 334 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also led a game-winning drive that ended with a passing touchdown caught by receiver Cedric Tillman with 1:04 remaining. 

This is Winston’s first career start for the Browns. QB Deshaun Watson suffered a season ending Achilles injury in Week 7.

He is the first Browns QB to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week since Baker Mayfield in Week 7 in 2020.

The Browns take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9 in Cleveland. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
